This course covers the theoretical and practical aspects of working at height safely.

Course ContentÂ
This course provides the skills and knowledge to be able to safely evacuate a workplace in an emergency situation.
Topics Include:
Regulatory requirements
Australian standards
Risk and hazard identification and management
Heights equipment selection and use
Fall restraint systems, fall arrest systems, work positioning systems
Anchorage systems
Working safely from ladders
Emergency planning and management for working at heights

Entry RequirementsÂ
There are no prerequisite units. Participants will need the ability to meet the physical demands to inspect, test and use working at heights equipment. Participants will also need oral communication skills to effectively contribute to a risk assessment, safe work method statement (SWMS) and incident reporting.Â
Assessment MethodsÂ
Progressive assessment throughout the course, including demonstration of practical skills and written and oral questions relating to underpinning knowledge.Â
Award IssuedÂ
A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued to all successful participants issued by Safeguard Training and Services (RTO 90987).
