G2 Risk Facilitator RIIRIS402E

The G2 Risk Facilitator 1-day course covers the skills and knowledge required to facilitate an effective risk assessment. This course covers the unit of competency (RIIRIS402E) from the Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to carry out risk management processes, including planning, identifying hazards and assessing risk, and developing and implementing risk controls. This unit it appropriate for those working in supervisory roles overseeing and auditing the risk assessment process.

Who Should Attend?

This course is tailored to safety, risk or audit roles, supervisory roles, operational roles within the mining and construction industries and others that have a statutory responsibility to complete this training.

Course Outline

The G2 Risk Facilitator course is delivered face-to-face by an experienced Risk Management Professional and includes:​

  • Relevant legislation

  • Hazard identification and management

  • Risk management processes and techniques

  • Risk assessment

  • Risk prevention, mitigation and treatment plans - includes control selection and critical control overview

  • Risk management assurance and governance processes

  • Retention of records

Entry Requirements 

It is recommended that participants have strong language, literacy and numeracy skills to be able to read, interpret and write. This course and all materials are delivered in English. Prior to the start of face-to-face training there may be a short knowledge quiz to check language, literacy and numeracy, as required.

 

Assessment Methods 

Progressive assessment throughout the course, including demonstration of practical skills and written and oral questions relating to underpinning knowledge. 

 

Award Issued 

Upon successful completion of the training, you will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment. This statement is issued by Safeguard Training & Services (RTO 90987).
