Course Information

The Certified Risk Owner (CRO) e-learning program equips managers, supervisors, and business leaders with the knowledge and practical skills to effectively identify, assess, and manage organisational risks. Risk Owners play a critical role in ensuring that key risks are owned, monitored, and controlled in alignment with organisational governance, legislative, and assurance requirements. This program provides a structured approach to risk ownership, governance, and assurance, aligned with ISO 31000: Risk Management – Guidelines and relevant WHS frameworks. Participants will gain the skills to interpret risk information, prioritise critical risks, and oversee the implementation and verification of controls across their areas of responsibility. Through interactive modules and challenge quizzes, participants will learn how to: - Identify and define key organisational risks and risk owners. - Establish and maintain risk registers aligned with organisational governance structures. - Conduct and review risk assessments, applying the hierarchy of control. - Evaluate and monitor control effectiveness and assurance outcomes. - Integrate risk and control information into structured reporting and decision-making. - Drive a proactive risk culture and ensure effective governance at all levels. By completing this program, participants will gain the capability to demonstrate accountability, strengthen organisational resilience, and lead effective risk governance. Graduates earn the Certified Risk Owner (CRO) credential, issued by SRA Global Pty Ltd, recognising professional competence in the ownership, oversight, and management of organisational risk.
