About the Session
Understand your legal obligations under the NSW Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Regulations. This focused 2-hour session is essential for all Persons Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBUs), and Officers with decision-making influence, who need to meet their proactive duty to ensure health and safety in the workplace.
As a PCBU or Officer, you must do everything reasonably practicable to eliminate or minimise risks to health and safety. This includes proactively managing risks, consulting with workers, and ensuring systems, training, and oversight are in place. This course explains what the law requires, how SafeWork NSW applies it, and how to demonstrate compliance in your organisation.
SafeWork NSW expects PCBUs and Officers to act before incidents occur. Regulatory action, fines, and personal liability are real risks where duties are not met. This course equips you with practical strategies and legal clarity to confidently discharge your duties, improve safety outcomes, and strengthen your organisation’s risk posture.
