Every worker in NSW must understand their WHS responsibilities before starting work.


Our WHS Induction provides a general safety foundation suitable for all industries, giving workers the knowledge and behaviours they need to work safely, identify hazards and follow safe systems of work from day one.

 

This program is designed for:

  • New Starters (permanent, part-time, casual)

  • Existing Workers (permanent, part-time, casual)

  • Contractors

  • Labour Hire

  • Apprentices and Trainees

  • Office, field and site-based staff

  • Small business owners

  • Anyone needing a WHS refresher or compliance update

Topics covered:

Core WHS Knowledge

  • WHS legislation, duties and responsibilities

  • What is “reasonably practicable”

  • Role of workers, supervisors and PCBUs

  • Safety communication, reporting and consultation

  • Understanding safety signs, instructions and procedures

 

Hazard Identification & Risk Management

  • Recognising common industrial, construction and community hazards

  • Simple, practical risk assessment methods

  • Working safely around mobile plant

  • Critical risks and life-saving controls

  • Hands-on SWMS and risk assessment activities

 

Psychosocial Hazards

  • Fatigue, stress, conflict and work design

  • Early reporting and support pathways

  • Building safe behaviours and situational awareness

 

Practical Safety Skills

  • PPE selection, fit and maintenance (practical)

  • Hazardous chemical awareness (GHS, SDS, labelling)

  • Confined space awareness

  • Electrical safety awareness

  • Hazardous manual tasks (manual handling)

  • Noise and vibration

  • Emergency response & incident notification

 

Silica & Asbestos Awareness

  • Health risks and exposure pathways

  • Identifying materials and products

  • Required controls, PPE and housekeeping

  • Legal responsibilities under NSW WHS Regulation

  • Complies with Safe Work NSW training requirements

Our WHS Induction aligns with NSW Work Health and Safety Act 2011, Work Health and Safety Regulation 2025, Codes of Practice and industry guidelines.

7 Days a Week

2 Sessions a day:
8:00am - 12:30pm & 
1:00pm - 5:30pm

Includes course materials, morning tea / afternoon tea

Your Workers Will Receive

Your workers will receive a strong safety foundation before entering your worksite, same day printed and electronic certificates, morning tea and refreshments.

Employers will recieve same day electronic certificate.
