This 1-day Verification of Competency (VOC) course is designed for supervisors, assessors and experienced workers responsible for confirming that people are competent to safely perform tasks in a specific workplace.

The course focuses on on-site verification, not initial training or qualifications. It supports organisations to implement clear, consistent and defensible VOC processes for high-risk and site-specific tasks.

What You Will Learn

Participants will learn how to:

• Verify worker competence using observation, questioning and evidence

• Identify gaps requiring further training, supervision or reassessment

• Complete clear and defensible VOC records

• Develop fit-for-purpose VOC tools aligned with site and regulatory requirements

Course Outcome

On completion, participants will be competent to conduct Verification of Competency (VOC) activities within their workplace, confirming that workers can safely and effectively perform tasks in line with site requirements.

Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by Orana Skills Centre.
