This course covers the theoretical and practical aspects of working safely in a confined space.

Course ContentÂ
This course provides the skills and knowledge to be able to safely evacuate a workplace in an emergency situation.
Topics Include:
- Regulatory requirements
- Australian standards
- Risk and hazard identification and management
- Atmospheric testing equipment selection and use
- Entering a confined space
- Working in a confined space
- Emergency planning and management for working in confined spaces

Entry RequirementsÂ
There are no prerequisite units. Participants will need the ability to meet the physical demands to work in a confined space. Participants will also  need oral communication skills to effectively contribute to a risk assessment, safe work method statement (SWMS) and incident reporting.Â
Assessment MethodsÂ
Progressive assessment throughout the course,  including demonstration of practical skills and written  and oral questions relating to underpinning knowledge.Â
Award IssuedÂ
A nationally-recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued to all successful participants issued by Safeguard Training and Services (RTO 90987).
