About the Course

Critical Controls are the safeguards that prevent catastrophic incidents, but unless they are owned, monitored and verified, they degrade silently. The role of a Critical Control Owner is to maintain performance, detect weakening signals early, and act rapidly when defences begin to fail.

This one-day program builds the capability and confidence required to manage critical control effectiveness in any high-risk environment.

Who Should Attend

Ideal for those directly responsible for control performance, including:

  • Supervisors, team leaders & frontline managers

  • Engineers, maintenance leads & technical specialists

  • Risk Owners, WHS advisors & control assurance personnel

  • Anyone accountable for critical control implementation and oversight

No prior verification or risk training required. We build the capability in session.

What You Will Learn

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

✔ Understand the role, authority and accountability of a Critical Control Owner

✔ Write, read and apply Critical Control Performance Standards

✔ Monitor control performance and detect signs of degradation

✔ Conduct verification activities, inspections & assurance tasks

✔ Manage triggers, alarms and red-flag conditions
