Quality Management Systems (QMS) Lead Auditor Training

This 4-day training course, delivered by Risk Training Professionals (RTP) (RTO code: 46389), equips you with the expertise to audit quality management systems in line with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 19011:2018 guidelines.


What you’ll learn

  • How to plan and structure effective QMS audits, including document review and audit scheduling

  • Applying risk-based thinking to evidence gathering and evaluation

  • The responsibilities and roles of auditors within audit teams

  • Running audit meetings and follow-up audit activities

  • Preparing clear and impactful audit findings and reports

  • Understanding and applying core requirements of ISO 9001:2015 to drive continual improvement


Qualifications

Upon course completion, you will receive:


A Certificate of Attainment with two internationally recognised Exemplar Global competencies:

  • Exemplar Global AU (Auditing Management Systems)

  • Exemplar Global TL (Leading Audit Teams)

  • Exemplar Global QM Auditing quality management systems 


A Statement of Attainment for the national BSBSS00128 Lead Auditor Skill Set, including:

  • BSBAUD411 Participate in quality audits

  • BSBAUD511 Initiate quality audits

  • BSBAUD512 Lead quality audits

  • BSBAUD513 Report on quality audits


Assessment

You’ll be evaluated through practical workshop tasks, module-end quizzes, and a post-course submission that demonstrates your audit proficiency. Templates, guidance, and trainer support are provided throughout.


To complete the Nationally Recognised Training units of competency and the BSBSS00128 Lead Auditor Skill Set, you’ll also need to submit a post-course assessment to RTP. This helps show your knowledge of the audit process. Instructions and templates will be provided, and your trainer will explain everything you need to know about the process during the training.

This course is ideal for professionals who:

  • Conduct or oversee internal or external audits of quality management systems

  • Manage or contribute to QMS compliance and continual improvement activities

  • Are seeking a formal lead auditor qualification for career progression


No prior auditing or standards experience is required.

Duration: 4 days

CPD: Equivalent of 32 points

Price: $3,245 (GST exempt) - discounts available for group enrolments

Location: Dubbo, 8 - 12 December 2025 (no attendance required on 11 December)
